Playtest

Peter Bayliss’s research blog on videogame play

About

Playtest was established by Peter Bayliss in October 2004 as a research aide for the writing of a thesis for the degree of bachelor of communication (media studies)(honours) at the Royal Melbourne University of Technology (RMIT).

But enough of talking about myself in third person. I’m now a candidate in RMIT’s PhD (communication studies) programme, and this blog will continue to be employed during the course of this study to discuss my research and observations, and for time-wasting on topic musings, etc. Playtest is primarily concerned with videogame studies, and in particular the understanding of videogame play as an embodied experience.
